Job Description
Setup, control, and run chamfer equipment. Inspect product according to standard operating procedures and work instructions. Candidate must be able to operate independently and as part of a team, be able to follow SOPs, labels and instructions. Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities, including use of measuring devices and mathematical abilities.
Role and Responsibilities
· Setup and run chamfering equipment according to SOPs and work orders and special instructions from supervisor, lead or material handler
· Carefully monitor and inspect all material before, during, and after each run
· Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety
· Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and work area as scheduled or as needed
· Maintain necessary records as required by SOPs and work instructions
· Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition to lead, QA, or manager as required
· Test samples for compliance with manufacturing standards according to SOPs
· Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
· Monitor quality of product through 1st piece and final inspection as required
· Report any non-conformances to lead
· Participate in self-development and training of others and perform other related duties as required or as directed by leader
· Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 140001 standard.
· Be able to consistently lift up to 40 pounds over the duration of the shift
· Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements over the course of the shift
2nd shift regular schedule: 3pm - 1130pm
