Job Description
Under the direction of Department Supervisor, the operator is responsible for producing and assembling machine parts according to specification. Operator is to report directly to line leader or the department supervisor.
Shift:
- 1st Shift 6 am - 2 pm (Monday - Friday)
- 2nd Shift 2 pm - 10 pm (Monday - Friday) Must be able to train on day shift for 4 weeks
- 3rd Shift 10 pm - 6 am (Sunday - Thursday) Must be able to train on day shift for 4 weeks
- Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays
Pay: $16.00 - $16.75
Eligible for production bonus from day 1. $1 - $3/ hr based on productivity
Details:
- Assemble parts into finished product in order to meet customer demand
- May perform secondary operations as required within production department parameters to meet customer requirements
- Gauge and / or inspect components and subassemblies as required by control plan / work instructions
- Perform checks and audits on line as required by control plans to assure quality parts are being consistently produced
- Must be able to limit errors and determine quick solutions
- Will use manual dexterity, twisting motions
- Maintain a clean factory work area
- Read manufacturing blueprints and task lists
- Able to work in an orderly, logical manner while paying attention to detail
Experience / Qualifications:
- 1 year small parts assembly experience
- 1 year experience working in manufacturing / assembly
- Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment
- Must score average or above on the color hue test when working in departments that work with colored products
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, occasionally to frequently
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Moderate level of mobility; ability to push, pull, and move product
- Candidate must be self-motivated, energetic, and highly organized
Education:
- HS Diploma / GED
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- Pass background check
