Job Description
ASSEMBLER
INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Assembly Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
ASSEMBLER – Performs functions associated with the assembly of Fifth Wheels and Stationary Mounts.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include one or all, but are not limited to:
- Assembly of fifth wheels and stationary mounts.
- Grinding
- Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
- Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work with hand tools, mechanical tools and various equipment accurately and safely.
- Must be able bend, stoop, reach, pull with full motion unrestricted and to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and write legibly for inventory counts and labeling.
- Ability to work and communicate accurately with factual information.
- Must be an effective team member with fellow employees and follow direction from area lead and supervision.
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
- Must comply with JOST quality, environmental, safety, and company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
- While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
