Job Description
Gem Care Inc. has an opening for a Forklift Certified Material Handler.
A Shift (7AM-7:30PM)
Pay: $15 hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read the production schedule and position material in front of each work center to support the schedule in first in first out order
- Removal and storage of product from the plant floor to designated storage areas
- Must adhere to all safety requirements
- Fill in for vacations or absenteeism of other Material Handlers as needed
- Working knowledge of ISO quality systems management requirements
- Must follow applicable Food Safety policies and procedures
- Assist with physical inventories as required
- Housekeeping – all storage areas are to be kept neat and orderly
- Unload deliveries of substrate as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of High School degree or GED
- Must be certified to operate the equipment required for the products being handled: (Fork Truck, Clamp Truck, Spear Truck, Hand Truck)
- Ability to effectively communicate with various internal and external audiences in both person and various electronic media
- Ability to manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to get on off a fork truck numerous time per day (over 50)
- Ability to roll large diameter rolls with roll mover as required
