Sr. Product Engineer
Job Description:
We are searching for a Sr. Product Engineer for a highly reputable manufacturing company in Eastern TN. This is a direct hire opportunity with one of the top firearm manufacturing companies in the United States. Salary range depends on experience, education and training. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and launch safe firearm fire controls and actions.
- Lead new product design efforts from conceptual design through to product launch.
- Develop controls related to revolvers, pistols, and long guns.
- Utilize experience with Metal Injection Molding (MIM), Plastic Injection Molding (PIM), and traditional machining techniques.
- Create solid models, assembly models, and detail drawings using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Perform finite element analyses, mechanism simulation, linear stress analysis, and transient thermal analysis.
- Solve production design problems and develop new firearm models.
- Collaborate with machine shops to create prototypes of new components.
- Lead testing exercises to validate new product designs and implement product improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years’ experience in a Product Development role with a demonstrated track record of establishing product design, meeting schedules, and ensuring quality and cost objectives.
- Experience in the Firearms industry required.
