Job Description:

Responsible for keeping assembly equipment in running condition and assures assembly operators are using equipment properly. Must have experience troubleshooting and repairing fast paced assembly machines and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Reset machinery to running condition (minor adjustments only) and report any major adjustment needed to coordinator for evaluation
2. Assist coordinator during changeovers by changing over equipment and tools using company policies and procedures.
3. Repair defective units using company policies and procedures.
4. Record downtime, changeovers, defects and meeting times in the downtime reporting system.
5. Assist coordinator with daily check sheet and verification measures.
6. Report to coordinator any operator not using proper assembly method.
7. Back up for coordinator as necessary.
8. Maintain a safe work environment consistent with company policies and standards.
9. Replace operators as necessary (bathroom breaks, late arrivals, absences, etc.).
10. Other duties as assigned
11. Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety policies and standards.
Education & Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Must be at least 18 years old
3. Minimum 2 years of experience as an operator in a fast-paced assembly environment.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
5. Ability to learn to operate multiple assembly stations.
6. Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.

Machine Operator
Machine Operator

Machine Operator needed for manufacturing company located in Morristown, Tn. This is a temp to hire position. 1st Shift.

Job Description:

The Machine Operator supports the manufacturing operation through compliance with all procedures and standards

Essential Duties:
- Perform daily machine checks
- Place unit in tote.
- Check the part by checking appearance and each dimension according to the check sheet and record on the data record sheet.
- Ability to observe machines and identify nonconformance of parts at each machine stage.
- Read and understand work-point manuals and blueprints.
- Check parts with quality gauges and other measuring devices.
- Neatness, accuracy, and a high attention to detail to insure 100% quality parts.
- Ability to function under pressure and prioritize problems that arise with machines.
- Willingness to assist other operators when problems arise.
- Physical ability to lift 70 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
- Work overtime and weekends when situations deem necessary.
- Strong mechanical ability and willingness to learn and repair basic maintenance issues on machinery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with other shifts and co-workers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Educational and Work Qualifications:
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields preferred
- Pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, occasionally to frequently
- Versatility to rotate between a variety of assembly operations during shift
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Moderate level of mobility; ability to push, pull and move finished product

Group Leader 2nd Shift
Group Leader

Serves as the supervisor for his/her shift and is responsible to ensure that production is being carried out.

Job Description:
- Per supervisors’ direction, make sure that procedures are being followed by team members to ensure the utmost quality
- Train and supervise all team members of his/her shift.
- Duties may be assigned in the Environmental Management System and the Quality Management System Manuals.
Essential Duties:
- Perform in process inspection on the production process and fill out the appropriate paperwork per Control Plan and SOP.
- Visual Inspection and Packaging of products.
- Responsible for 5S
- Other duties assigned by Supervisors.
Minimum Educational and Work Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent certificate required
- Some college or educational courses preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and have the personality and knowledge to work with and lead other team members.
- Personal computer skills are desired.
